Eco Three Leaf vegan food storage wraps are handmade in Brisbane using natural ingredients from three plants only. Hence the name Eco Three Leaf.
Eco Three Leaf wraps are pine resin free and made with a simple combination of natural ingredients such as Candelilla wax, Jojoba oil and Gum Damar which means they are cruelty free and vegan. Using 100% cotton with beautiful ocean, earth and food prints with very generous sizes to make sure you are covered no matter what.
A vegan alternative to the popular beeswax versions ~ because we think the bees need their wax far more than we do.
*Please note that exact fabric prints may change time to time but the themes will remain the same e.g ocean, earth, food, flora, fauna*
3 pack vegan reusable food wraps (Rectangle) includes:
1 x large rectangle (46cm x 35cm)
1 x medium rectangle (41cm x 30cm)
1 x small rectangle (32cm x 26cm)
All wraps in this pack are the same pink floral print.
What to use the wraps for?
Ideal for covering plates, platters, bowls and cups. Wrap fruit and vegetables, cheeses, breads and sandwiches and you can even fold them into neat little snack pockets for nuts and fruits. (Do not use them for covering meat or anything hot).
The wraps are a great addition to any earth conscious kitchen looking to minimise single use plastics. By using the wraps you are helping to reduce waste and keep rubbish out of landfill and the oceans AND keep more money in your pocket as you won't be buying clingfilm and plastic zip lock bags going forward.
How to use the wraps
With the appropriate care and handling, the wraps can be reused for up to 12 months if not longer.
Before using your wraps for the first time, please wash them under cool to ever so slightly warm water with a soft cloth and gentle dish-washing soap. Either wipe dry or let them air dry (not in direct sunlight).
Using the warmth of your hands start to warm up the wrap and gently scrunch and work the wrap until you feel it become more pliable. Once they are 'warmed up' you will find they neatly hug your bowls, cups, plates or can be pressed together to form a seal around your food or folded and pressed into snack pockets.
What not to use your wraps on
Please avoid using the wraps on raw meats or anything hot - they will melt.
Please do not iron the wraps, put them in the dishwasher, washing machine, dryer or leave them in direct sunlight.
Other important information
If you are allergic to Jojoba oil, Candelilla wax or Gum Damar please avoid using. Our wraps are 100% pine resin free.
You may find that once you remove the wraps from your glasses, cups, bowls or plates there is a small amount of waxy residue left behind. This will easily come off by either popping it in the dishwasher or washing it in very hot soapy water. Simple!
With regular use some cracks, creases or mild staining (from oily foods) may occur. This won’t affect the functionality of the wrap, simply give it more depth and character! You can always warm the wraps up in your hands and using your fingertips work the wax around in the areas it has creased or cracked.
About the ingredients we use to make the wraps
Our wraps are made using three plant based ingredients. Candelilla wax, Jojoba oil and Gum Damar.
The Gum Damar is a 100% natural product derived from the sap of the Dipterocarpaceae family of trees. It has many uses and is used in the Food and Beverage Industry as a clouding and glazing agent and also as additive. We use this in our wraps as it adds flexibility and durability as well as making them slightly tacky to help them "stick" so you can cover bowls and plates like you would use clingfilm.
Australian Jojoba oil is a 100% natural liquid wax, which gives the wraps suppleness and allows them to be easily pliable. We source this from an Australian supplier of high quality, ethically sourced oils and raw materials.
The Candelilla wax we use is 100% natural derived wax found in abundance in Northwestern Mexico. Extracted from the Euphorbia Cerifera shrub. Candelilla is also perfect for protecting your wraps as it has water repellent properties.
When your wraps are worn out
The wraps are 100% biodegradable which means you can pop them into your compost (cut up into very small pieces to make it easier to break down) and send them back to the earth with love at the end of their life.
